About this wikiThis is a featured page

This wiki-based web site brings together over 2500 school health contacts from local health authorities, agencies, school boards, health authorities, provincial/territorial ministries, non-governmental organizations and universities across Canada.

The web site is the home for several networks, including a national NGO network with over 50 organizations, a national researchers network and several national Communities of Practice on topics such as substance abuse, nutrition and aboriginal school health. The Canadian Association for School Health, the facilitator for this web site, has also been a leader in the use of webinars.

The web site has several publications which can be "watched" for updates by members of the School Health Knowledge Network by changing the settings in the profiles that they create for themselves when they join this wiki-based community.
These include:
The wiki-based tools enables members of this community to edit text on pages, post comments about the content and communicate with other members of the knowledge network using the messages tools within the wiki. Once you have joined and created a profile, you can choose to have those messages forwarded to your regular email address or leave them here within the web site.

We are also experimenting with several social/professional networking tools, See the Tech Test Drive page where we are continuing to try out these tools, in cooperation with many of our NGO and government partners.
