Instructions to Access Web MeetingsThis is a featured page

PS Please test your access to the Elluminate system before the time of the meeting. In order to participate, users will need to ensure that their organization permits you to access web sites like Elluminate. A quick way to do this is to try to access the Configuration Page on the Elluminate web site to test your connection and configure your audio. If you are not able to access that “room”, then it is likely that your organization has a “firewall” preventing access. Simply ask the Technology Administer in your organization to grant access to the Elluminate web site. If they are not able to do that then you will need to use a computer from another location.

Click on this Participants Link to access the drop in meeting. (Note" The link will only be active during drop in meetings)

The next step will have you arriving at the Elluminate web site. The Elluminate web site will download a bit of Java programming to enable you to use the web meeting platform. Your Internet browser may temporarily block that download until you give your permission. Next, you will be asked to provide your name as a participant in the meeting. Type in your name and then log in to the meeting. The name that you enter will be seen by the other participants

You will know that you have arrived at the meeting when you see the screen below. First, you can say hello by typing a brief message into the Instant Message box on the left hand side of the page.

Second, test out your audio by Clicking on Tools, then Audio, then Audio Setup Wizard. Follow the instructions to check if your head set microphone is working. If it does not work, check to make sure that the jacks to your head set are plugged into the correct holes. (They are marked with little symbols for microphone and headsets).

Third, when and if asked by the Moderator, say something after clicking on the little microphone icon on the bottom left of the page. Don’t forget to click off the microphone after you speak.
