A summary of the knowledge available about school-based and school-linked substance abuse prevention was prepared by a team of experts for the Canadian Association for School Health as a part of this project. The summary was prepared from a review of the research literature. The document is also based on an earlier Health Canada compendium of good practices in preventing substance abuse.
